I've lived here 2 years now, with both the old and new management. I think some of these comments are really out of line. Since the new management arrived, I've had several normal maintenance requests (toilet running, balcony door stuck) which they fixed the same day I called. How could any reasonable person complain' I watched last Sunday night when we had 30 mile per hour winds and snow falling. The snow plow crew was out working in the gales at 10 pm on a Sunday night, including hand shoveling the steps & sidewalks. Poor guys. When I left for work Monday morning at 7 am, the parking lots & steps were completely cleared and in great shape. The office staff has been very responsive and cheerful. I'm happy and I do recommend this place.

If you'd lived here two years ago with the previous management company, you would have had social activities at least 3 times a week, activities for youngsters, teens and older adults including classes in photography, arts and crafts and exercise. We had Movie Nights with recent films complete with pizzas from a local restaurant and soda. We also had security guards on duty in the Club in the late afternoon until 10:45 PM and patroling the grounds for the residents' peace of mind and to prevent vandalism to cars in the parking lots. All of this has been permanently discontinued to save money. We paid less rent and we got much more; also, the snow removal then was faster and huge plows (in-house equipment!) were used, not men shoveling at 2 AM (poor guys!) This company has been cutting back on so many things to profit their investors rather than give the residents the luxury complex they expected. They even removed the American and State flags from the gatehouse flagpoles to save cleaning expenses! If you had lived here before, you would understand.

We moved in two weeks before the last social activity. We feel completely cheated out of what we were promised when we moved in. We laughed as we read Elizabeth192's review about the snow removal. I have slipped many times on the ice in the parking lots since this new group took over. My boyfriend was plowed in by the hap-hazard attempt to clear the snow out after that last storm. That never happened before. In fact, the guy with the plow came by while my boyfriend was trying to dig out for work. Did he help? Nope. As for normal maintenance requests getting immediately taken care of, we tried to have our balcony door replaced last spring. (A maintenance guy told us the wrong door had been hung there and we needed a larger one.) The list goes on. We are thinking of moving, to be honest.

The big new issue that we all have to be aware of is the HIGH PRICE OF OIL!!! That changes EVERYTHING! Whatever had been done a couple of years ago is now not so inexpensive. Even cities & towns are cutting back on essential services. These are tough times we're living in and people in business have to make some kind of profit to stay in business. This may be why some changes had to be made. We still have the beauty, safety and quiet of these lovely surroundings and spacious apartments. Our parents remember the Great Depression. That was alot worse, believe me. There were no dishwashers or washers & dryers back then! We're still 100% better off then they were, and they survived it!
