I think most people who take the time to review something mostly have something to complain about and the people who are happy don't feel like they have to say anything. I must say I love the new management and am definatley more happy now that they have taken over.

As far as the cobbles go, driving over them for 2.5 seconds of the day is not going to ruin your axels, struts, or anything else. To everyone who complains about them, you DO remember thier predecessors were 4 huge speed bumps right' The "damage" that would be done by the cobbles is diminished if not entirely comparable to the speed bumps.

Now I live in a garden apartment (3 stories) as opposed to a high rise (9 stories) so my experience might be different but maintenence has always been on time, our only horrible neighbors were evicted a few months ago, the ants only come around if you leave the place a pigsty (the ants are sugar ants and if the ants arent feeding on anything, they wouldn't be there) and the bugs people talk about are house centipedes, and although they are really creepy, i don't find more than 3-4 per month and they are in a LOT of houses and apartments, certainly nothing that requires extermination and nothing that management is responsible for. Bugs do make it indoors sometimes (OMG!!!) and its not anyones fault that they do.

I feel like MPA is really trying to clean up the place without being intrusive. It was really frustrating that as soon as the warm weather came around, Equity would be tearing up half of the property. The sounds of tractors, bulldozers, and cranes would fill the air instead of the birds and crickets you want to hear in the summertime. I get calls back from management promptly now instead of just never hearing back from them with Equity.

Thats not to say i dont have things to complain about. Like i said our neighbors were terrible and our buildings packages were getting stolen but as soon as they moved out it all stopped. The parking could be improved as i think most of the reason for the lack of spaces is that more people are living in apartments than are on the lease, that really needs to be addressed, as that affects more than parking. The air conditioning units are slightly outdated, but i think they replace them with brand new ones if they break because we have a new one in one of the bedrooms. We have a two bedroom and I can't imagine the cost of replacing 2 units in every single apt. when they are working. Its not like they are from 1950.

One thing i honestly do wish would change is security. There is one security guard during the day who is awesome. He always calls if you have guests and never leaves the gates open. The rest of them really couldn't give a damn and just leave the gates raised and don't care who they let in. They also hired a kid recently who looks entirely too young (20 or younger) to do the job. They really need to crack down because if they are going to bill this as a luxury apt community and charge luxury apt prices (which they are) then they need to follow up with luxury apt. security

overall our living experience here has been pleasent and we have very little to complain about, i suggest visiting the property before making a decision

Don't believe this! New Management sucks! They don't pay any attention to their current residence and come out with big advertisement or hire people to write false reviews so new tenants can be trapped! Forget about the view and locals who care when suddenly your water will stop and you will not hear back anything in response from maintenance and adding into that New management will decide how urgent your needs are and it will be processed in 48 hours????!!!! if you have emergency also it will be process in 24 hrs????????????!!!!!!

I'm not satisfied with the new management company myself. However, I must say that at no time have I ever had a problem getting someone from maintenance over when I needed them. The maintenance workers are knowledgeable, and get the work done right. When they fix something for us, it stays fixed. I am a homeowner, and can't always say the same for contractors I have at my house, by comparison.
