I don't understand where some of these reviews are coming from. I've been a resident at Granada Highlands now for two years and it's the best place I've lived so far. I love being able to wake up and look out my window to see a view of Boston. The pond is a beautiful aspect as well and I love sitting on the benches that surround it on a nice day or having a barbecue in the grill area. On the subject of management I think that everyone in the office is really easy to talk to and they all seem willing to help me solve my problems whenever I go in. I definitely feel safe living at Granada with the 24 hour security guard at the entrances as well. Overall, it's a very welcoming place and everyone should come take a look.

I agree after seeing some other places; we're very fortunate here. It has a rural aspect, yet it's near public transportation and the city. The Cafe on site has delicious food and a very friendly staff. This particular point hasn't been emphasized enough. We're very lucky to have such a nice restuarant and store on the premises. They also pick up your dry cleaning and packages when you're not home! It's very convenient and a cheerful place to see your friends from the other buildings in the morning. The breakfasts are healthy and tasty; scrambled eggs and choice of toast, omelets, French toast, etc. as well as great subs, chicken, hamburger, salads etc. for lunch, including "specials" during the colder months. It's a nice place to chat with friends. Tom, the proprietor, is extremely helpful and always prepares food the way you want it. It's always a friendly, clean, warm place to eat.

It's funny... I used to think Granada Highlands was the bomb, public transportation, close to Boston, okay staff.. I'm the farthest from a picky person that you'll meet. I never complained about hearing my neighbor through the bathroom vent, nor the constant flood from the apartment above. Let's face it those problems are not Granada Highlands fault. Nor the numerous dents collected on my luxury car while I lived there for two years.
Now.... With those in mind. What I do find as their fault, The racial graffiti which was in the elevator for over a week, the whole in the wall in Building #180 for weeks, the front of building #180 which had the tiles falling out from the ceiling at the entrance, the Door locks which was broken for at least a month. Or the largest issue I have. I moved out a month early so I expected to lose my rent. I was told by management if the appartment was occupied before my lease expired they'd return my money along with my Security Dept. I never received either. A month after I left I called to verify my apartment checked out by Maintenance. They said yes building maintenance checked out your apartment and YOU WILL be receiving your security deposit back, and your apartment WAS RENTED so you'll be getting that back as well. I called multiple times with the same answer, it'll be coming shortly. After 90 days after my last contact, leaving multiple messages and receiving no replies (BTW, I'm very polite!, never rude)I called a mediator, finally getting a response saying they are not giving me ANYTHING BACK! They are now saying they had to repair my carpet.. Yes I had some minor stains.. Nothing more than 1 sq inch. (Regular Wear and Tear) I was there two years, and went in with a used rug. I was told they would be replacing it anyways. But now all of a sudden I'm getting porked over $1500. I'm contacting an attorney and bringing them to court. So... Yes, maybe you'll be lucky and not get screwed over like me.. But there is a very good chance it will happen. Look around before you rent here there are many better places around.
BTW.. I now live in a "Luxury Apartment" and it's 100 times better than Granada Highlands...
