Management was Fantastic before move in. After, they could care less cause they have you on a 1 year lease, and your locked in! They do NOT permit subleasing!!! We tried to get out of here and it's "Luxury". Maintenance took 3 weeks to fix a broken shower at move in (scalding water for your feet and ice water out of the shower head. Maintenance refused to go down the street to Lowe's to get the replacement part repeatedly!), plus they didn't use tile grout, instead they used caulk and the shower looks like hell now complete with the tiles falling off and unmatching color tiles. Been without hot water for 32 hours at this point and finally they told us all to go to the gym and shower (24 unit apartments) Mens locker room is not in great shape at all anyways. Especially compared to the womens side. Told them at move in we wanted the dead lights and the broken fixtures replaced, 5 months and 7 complaints later and they still aren't fixed. "FREE HEATING" with a thermostat that does not work correctly of course.
Guards are only for curb appeal here, don't expect anything as they don't roam the property- and they certainly let solicitors in!
Fire engines roar by every day sometimes more than once, its like a war zone.
P.S. Amenities are a joke, really look at the gym, inspect the locker rooms, pool area vs people living here, the list goes on and on and on....
TAKE MY ADVICE, DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE APPEARANCE OF THE GROUNDS, MPA MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE. They should be ashamed to say they "Manage" this "Luxury" apartment community.

Absolutely. They put up a big two walls at the main entrance where they have written 'Managed By MPA'. Many times I wanted to go and write 'Poorly Manged by MPA'.

I just can't believe this is marketed as a Luxury Community and have such crappy staff, customer service, and a maintenance crew that is a joke at best. In fact, maintenance has stated directly 3 times they will be "right over" and never showed up. I wish I was making this stuff up. Two things are certain: We will not be renewing our lease, and secondly for 1350 /month, you can find a lot of really nice places to live especially not as far as Malden in the Boston area. ie: Brookline & Chestnut Hill if you are looking for Luxury.

Has anyone ever lived in a unit next to the laundry room? Is it noisy? And can you smell the detergent from that room? Thanks.

I've lived here at the Granada Highlands for 7 years now and my apartment is located right next to the laundry and trash room. I've never once had a problem with smelling anything. When you inside your apartment, you neither smell or hear anything other than what's going on inside your apartment.

PLEASE listen to this person! He is absolutely telling the truth! FALSE ADVERTISING AT IT'S BEST! I have lived there recently, and left without giving them the any notice, or waiting for my security deposit! My SECURITY was getting the hell out of there! First of all there is no security! The front gates are nothing but a cosmetic feature. There are punks all over the property breaking peoples car windows to steal GPS' ect. Other times they just go around smashing car windows ect just for the hell of it! They don't care who they rent to as long as they make thier commission! We we also recently told that the convienience store/ cafe was given 30 days to close! That place is probably the ONLY benefit to this place! Kind of like cheers! The only friendly people in the complex! We made up petitions to stop MPA from persuing this, hundreds of signiatures....They did'nt care! The scenic pond has been torn up ito a pile of rubble since last August along with the pool deck! They never fix the leaks in the buildings or apts.. too busy making it look pretty from the outside!! The lobbies in some of the buildings smell like a dead body! SERIOUSLY! If your looking for a place to buy crack or hang out with JUNKIES this is your kind of place! It is nothing but a high priced GHETTO! It's hard to believe that Red Sox and Bruins lived there at one time! LONG before MPA got ahold of it! They are greedy rude SLUMLORDS! The Cohens should be ashamed!!!! Make sure you see the EXACT apt your renting, not a model one BEFORE you move in! They will ussually tell you the one your renting is'nt ready to view yet, Thats because they dont want you to see it, it propbably has the original cabinets and wall paper from 1978! NOT KIDDING! P.S be careful with the elevators! They are usually broken or you could get stuck in one, and you'll be in there for a while! Not Fun! If Flately could see what his dream turned into he'd be horrified! ANYONE that says this place is nice, must be affiliated with an employee, or an employee themselves! Or is used to that kind of living!

I seriously don't know what you people are talking about or how you live. This place is quiet, beautiful of course we have a few bad apples but doesn't everywhere else have them too. This is just a complain line you guys are just mad at the world, look at other properties on this site. Are they any better!
