Who are you to down play problems other tennants are having. The rent increases are much to high, the inconveniences that you put up with are numerous. My apartment has not been renovated since (guessing) the early 70's. Kitchen counter tops split and falling off, handles on cabinets numerous colors of white, also falling off. Ventilation hood over stove so old it's worthless. The steam from my tea pot sets the fire alarm off. I've had problems with mice twice, turns out there is a gap between the floor and wall under the sink cabinet. I pay for a two bath apartment but mstr bath is constantly clogged. Main bathroom is constantly moldy, vent does not work properly. Parking lot is a nightmare, the dents on my car are proof of that! My intercom has not worked since I moved in. However after reading what "WorstComplexinBoston" is going through all of us who came in under Gately have alot to worry about. I've never heard of a major Management Company not keeping track of the assets they purchased. All of us who paid last month rent and security deposit are entitled to that no matter who bought out Gately.
When I leave I will not be paying my last month's rent and if I'm reported to the Credit Bureau I will get in touch with the Attorney General's Office. I will also be expecting my security deposit back. On second thought. I'll be in contact with the AG's office before I give my notice (just in case)!
