FRAUD MANAGEMENT STAY AWAY

The building has plenty of issues: No security, no maintenance, stinks, etc etc.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IS: The management consists of rude, lying, cheating, evil monsters. Soon as you sign their lease they treat you like dirt, ignore your requests completely. MY WORST experience came when I left and did not get my deposit back, before I left I had the apartment and the carpet professionally cleaned and took pictures to be on the safe side, they gave me a list of fake charges including NEW CARPET claiming it had stains WHICH WAS A COMPLETE LIE and asked for money on top of the deposit. I am getting my lawyer to deal with them because I have plenty of evidence and I will not let them get away with it. Their business model is based on the idea that they do not refund deposit money to anyone and your actual rent ends to be a lot higher than what you had originally signed up for.

If you move out, according to the attourney general of Massachusetts, they have 30 days to either explain why you will not recieve your deposit in full, or mail you back your deposit within 30 days OR then they owe you 3X the deposit amount. This information can be found under "Renters Rights" on the Massachusetts Attourney Generals website. You can contact them for free to help resolve legal issues, Pre Court, and if mediation does not provide remedy with lawful concerns, they will testify in court the process that was used to mediate each partys concers and any unwillingness to comply with regards to existing renters laws.

Make the call or go down in person to their Boston office, its fast... and you wont be dissapointed.

P.S. Granada Highlands management troll themselves around this website reading peoples reviews, giving you a very hard time (bordering harrassing) if they find out who you are (your email address that you give them on file when you sign your lease) and also write bogus BIG positive reviews.

PS: we had a "walk through" done by the property management before move out to ensure we would get our deposit. It is your legal right to have them do a pre move out inspection so that you have the opportunity to repair any needed repairs yourself so that you may get your deposit back in full. YOU must make the request before giving a one months notice. Check with the Attorney General.

AND IT'S ALL ON PAPER... get everything they -ever say- on paper, you will be glad you did.

By far the WORST EVER property management I have ever rented at. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE IN RUN DOWN MALDEN!

I am not resigning my lease with these people, so is it worth it not handing over the keys until someone does a "walk though" of my apartment and signs something in writing that there is no damage to the apartment and that it was left in the exact same condition as when it was first inhabited???? I just don't want to make this same mistake and I know what bad people we are dealing with that I need to cover myself. I will not hand over keys until someone signs off to this effect as I moved into this apartment and they had old used carpets already which we complained about when we moved in as they don't let you see the apt you will be getting (they showed us a model whic isn't even the style they put us into)...

They will try to tell you that they cannot do the walk-through until you have returned your keys. They are lying. Insist that you will wait for maintenance personnel in the unit until the walk-through is completed, handing over the keys at that time. That's what we did. I believe we'll be getting our full deposit in a couple of weeks (finally). We'll see.
