Shedding some light...

I lived at the Beverly building for a couple of years. It was run a lot better than other places I've lived at in this area. Actually, a pretty convenient location, but the parking wasn't great. Compared to the other places I was looking at during my search, it was a lot nicer. The halls are kinda bland, but the apartment was nice inside. New counter-top, big clean fridge, everything had fresh paint.

Take the other reviews with a grain of salt. Or, an entire salt mine.

"oshunblu" You shed more heat than light, which is suspicious. Manchester is a pretty nice area, and I've been to that building (it's their office), and its pretty nice. They get about $1500 for those units (out of my range). All rented.

"lukegoljan" Huh, I remember you. I know for a fact that you were late 5 months out of 12. Way to go. Gas leak that they refused to fix'! Please. Learn how a gas stove works, and how to re-light the pilot lights. Jeez, Luke - My buddy's 10 year old daughter knows how to light a pilot...

"stillcool" The clerk of courts will remind you that you need a REASON to take somebody to court. Stop watching Law & Order, and actually learn what your rights are.

BSEE-9 I'm glad you had a good experience, but that does not negate the experience of others. The law is quite clear. There are many reasons why tenants choose not to take their landlords to court, and it is not because they lack legal standing. Moving is the easiest way to solve the problem. Do you represent Serenity Realty? You sound like you would fit right in.

I know friends of the owners (friend of a friend sort of thing, which is how I was referred to them in the first place), so maybe I was biased. I was just surprised to see such negative reviews especially with such insubstantial claims - the first review was so odd, I can't take what the person wrote seriously. It seemed to me that giving them a fair review was just, well, the fair thing to do. Sorry to sound so flippant, but everybody these days just runs around yelling "sue! sue!" when they feel their feelings have been hurt. They seemed like fine people to me, but then, I'm a pretty low-maintenance gal. Good luck to you...
