Seemed like a perfect place... they do a good job selling the 'luxury' features (that you never have time to use) when you tour and sign the contract, but the buck stops there. Forget the management staff being helpful and competent, that stops after the lease is signed. The water heater going out two times upon move in should have been a sign. The stairs are horrid (they can't even put padding under the carpet, so your basically walking on plywood stairs covered in cheap carpet) and the rest of the construction follows suite. There was a large crack on the ceiling of our apartment (a definite structural problem); paper thin walls (thankfully we had very considerate neighbors and were on the top floor); the cheap linoleum flooring that bubbles and peels; and not to mention the luxurious LOUD washer, dryer, and dishwasher.
Jefferson also acts like they have a pet-friendly environment, but after you pay your monthly arm and leg to have your pets you can't find the promised dog bags and soon find yourself walking around with grocery bags. Of course there are the few that figure they don't have to clean after their pets because there are no available bags, so you soon feel like a ne'er-do-well as you avoid the glares from the non-pet owners. Then soon to follow are the little 'notes' from management reminding people to clean up after their pets, publically humilating even the do-gooder pet owners.
The accumulation of problems lead us to terminate the lease early; an opportunity for them to take you on your final ride!!
