This community is nice, but definitely not worth the outrageous prices. The girls in the office are really nice, save for one (and we just ignore her) and the pool/BBQ area/playground are very well done. The only problem we have those is that there are no floats or toys or anything allowed in the pool. There are so many children here, you would think that things would be more relxed at the pool, but oh well, it's almost fall anyway. We have had little issue here and there which you wouldn't expect from a brand-new place, like screen doors and cabinet shelves breaking, but those were little nuisances that were fixed fairly quickly. The carpet is HORRIBLE, however. We don't allow shoes in our house and the carpet still gets filthy. EVERY SINGLE dust particle shows up. I can vacuum every day and it still wouldn't look great. If money doesn't matter than this is a good place to live, but otherwise I would look elsewhere. (Oh, and our rent is increasing $150 when we renew. INSANE. We knew it would go up but we were semi-shocked when that hit. ) We are also responsible for both water and sewer, which is a bit ridiculous in an apartment community.

I do agree about the carpets. I have to steam clean mine weekly or it looks awful. I think a slightly darker color would have worked better.
Rent increases are normal when you renew for another year at most places. Especially if you got any move-in incentives like a free month's rent, so the better the deal the more the increase when your lease is up. If they were smart they'd offer more incentives to stay given some of the problems associated with living here (noise, poor construction in some apartments, lack of insulation between apartments, cheap LOUD appliances). I'm sure it could be MUCH worse, but I do agree that it's not worth $2000 a month.

The rent is outragous for the quality of the apartments. They look nice on the outside.... I agree as well the color choice in carpet was not a smart choice

FYI... I had the same problem when living there for a year. My carpet was terrible and constantly clogged the vacuum. After many complaints, and a promise of a solution my lease was finally up. And get this... I was charged $1,000 to replace this awful carpeting when no damage occurred to it!! Be careful. These people are shady!
