Stonegate

Stonegate has gone to great lengths to present itself well. The building facades are beautiful as well as the elegant clubhouse and pool area. The whole area screams upscale.

Then try living there for a few months, and a few chinks in the armor appear. I've had to make about six maintenance calls in five months. That seems like a lot to me, and I have lived in apartments for about four years. The whole place is shoddily constructed from low quality materials. Now, maintenance is ALWAYS quick to respond. We had an issue with heat on a Sunday night during a Pats game, and they were there within a 1/2 hour of the call. That's service, but it seems like there's always a problem for them to fix.

The carpeting. Ah, the carpeting. The cheapest they could find, I'm sure. It catches and holds everything and is paper-thin from just a few months of use.

Appliances are brand new and elegant, but the most basic of models with basic features.

All in all, I do have to recommend Stonegate. Staff is friendly, attentive, and always organizing community events. They obviously take their job seriously. The service did not wane after the "sale." However, the initial quality of construction doesn't quite match their upscale presentation and price.
