We've been here several months now and I am enjoying my apartment in some ways. It's beautiful and it's exciting to be first to live somewhere. However, I agree with the other raters. The carpet is the cheapest made and is hard to maintain. The appliances are brand new and bottom of the line-not what I'd expect in a luxury apartment. The walls mark if you just bump them in passing. Now that the winter is really here, we are having a hard time keeping our rooms warm. Our utilities are over $220 a month so we don't want to run the heat any higher (we keep it set about 69-70) but our bedroom is COLD all the time. We bought insulating drapes and even tried hanging a blanket between the blinds and the curtains. Still cold. The windows are nice and large but single paned and heat just sucks out.
We've had several maintenence issues including door handles falling off with gentle pressure from opening a few times. It's a shame that such a nice and friendly community seems to have been made with the shoddiest work and materials availible. The regular maintenence staff and office staff have been extremely friendly and helpful but I am questioning if we should renew our lease because I don't want to be locked into an apartment that seems like it might just fall down.

Your comments and conclusions seem to be at odds with your recommendation. How do you recommend shoddy construction & the other low quality items to your friends & family a keep clear conscience?

I agree with the above response. Why are you recommending people rent here if the construction is so shoddy?

cashwise- obviously ur having a hard time getting in... its ok though. they have programs that can help! and by the way...thats not such a bad thing to think about...no im not a staff member, im just someone who is so tired about hearing how bad it is...if its sooo bad, move out. thats all :)

Move out at what cost? Have you READ your lease? Ours says if we break lease we pay about $7,000. If I HAD an extra 7k and didn't have 2 kids to feed, I WOULD move out.
