Much to be Desired

My girlfriend and I have lived here just over a year now. We wholeheartedly regret moving into this place. Once our lease expires in the Fall, we are out of here. The quality of life here is not great; random people always hanging around, kids hitting your windows with soccer balls instead of playing over at the empty field next to the playground. Kids running around unsupervised in the streets riding bikes without helmets on and screaming when a car comes. Unbelievable. People smoking and staring at you from their balconies when you return from work. Another thing. Tons of parking one day, then none the next day at the exact same time.
Certain residents act as if they own the place, and park in handicap parking. I have seen police quite frequently, and we have a verbally loud neighbor who has said some very disturbing and disgusting things (apparently unaware that others can hear her). I consider myself a very tolerant person, but I have become so sick of this place.
Maintenance has had to fix certain problems numerous times. I have seen a least one pitbull walking around and other large breeds. I don't mind as I am a dog person, but it just goes to show you how none of the rules are enforced.
The single most disgusting incident occurred last fall when bloody sand came up through the drain of my bath tub. Upon calling maintenance I learned that someone in the building had flushed a tampon down the toilet causing it to enter our bathroom.
There are some nice people, but they seem few and far between. I do not recommend this place.

Hey, I previously posted as well, but that same thing happened in my bathtub too! (as well as sewage backup) Like you, my lease also expires in the fall and we CANT WAIT to get out of here! What building are you in?
