Sad to go!

Years at this apartment: 1996 - 2002
Since my employer has moved an hour away, to Boston?s North Shore, we have no choice but to follow.
After six years at the Village, we must leave a place that had become the only home our daughter?s ever knew. Now at the ages of 7 and 5 they will be leaving a superior elementary school, many friends and an abundance of town sports and activities. The community pool and town beaches made us feel like we were on vacation all summer long.
The complex is an above average community (refurbished in 2001) with a below average rental price, but don?t tell them that. Although I?ve only needed maintenance several times over the past six years (replace a light switch, refasten a base board, replace a broken tile and repair the dishwasher) they were fast and professional. Many people here own nice cars and do not bother locking them. I?ve never heard of anyone having their car broken into or stolen. Parking is unfortunately ?open parking,? however there?s always enough room for everyone. As for noise, management doesn?t allow loud music and will send a letter to those who do.
Searching for something bad about this community? it would be a neighbor I can?t stand. Leaving is bearable only because I can tell myself we?re leaving that one neighbor behind. Although, I know there?s going to be another where we?re going... there always is!
ApartmentRatings.com helped me choose and eliminate perspective apartments over the past two weeks. I found myself wishing there were more positive responses, thus I feel obligated to inform those considering this South Shore community.
I highly recommend The Village at Marshfield.
Good luck with your apartment search. We finally found ours? keeping our fingers crossed!
