Good experience

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2006
I lived at Appleton Square for 7 years and must say that, overall, the experience was quite pleasant. I lived on the 176 side on the third floor. I found my apartment to be extremely quiet, and my neighbors were friendly. It is true that the floors sometimes squeak, that you can occasionally hear noises from other units, and that if you are unlucky enough to live above a smoker, you will occasionally smell smoke. However, the office staff was always extremely pleasant to deal with, and maintenance was always on top of any request. While living there I adopted a cat from the Methuen MSPCA, and the office staff had no problems with having a cat.
About the only negative experience I can comment on was that my car got broken into once. Thankfully I had nothing of value in it at the time, but it was a hassle to deal with. Unfortunately, this sort of thing comes with living so close to Lawrence.
Overall I'd definitely recommend Appleton Square, although I'd also recommend trying to get an apartment on the 176 side since parking and noise always seemed to be an issue on the 171 side.
