This management company essentially lied to me to rent me a property. When I first looked at the apartment I noticed a good deal of landscaping equipment behind the apartment. I asked to speak with the prior tentant to find out about noise levels etc. I was told that they were not able to get in touch with the tenant directly but that the person left them a message saying that noise was not a problem and the apartment was great. After moving in I got to wake up every morning at 6 am to several trucks being started and idling in behind my bedroom window for a 1/2 hour.
The property itself is in poor condition. I have been there for 2 yrs. Each winter my heat has gone out a least twice. I have had problems with pests (mice, ants and flies) Windows, screens, appliances and floors are old and in poor condition. Getting any sort of maintenance done is impossible short of witholding rent or threatening legal action.
The grounds and unkept with landscaping tools, refuse and chemicals behind the house.
The landlord keeps dogs behind the apartment which are not properly cared for or cleaned up after thus attracting flies and creating a bad smell in the summer months.
