Worst Apartment Experience I Ever Had - The "market rents" that they are charging here now are insane for being so far from Boston and being in such a cheaply constructed place. It was hardly worth the prices when it opened. I don't even know where to start with the issues - but since they call it "luxury for rent" - I might as well clear that myth up first. To give some perspective, I have stayed in many ...Full review of Arborpoint at Woodland Station

Good place for our new family - Recently had 1st baby - wife and I really like avb at newton highlands. Reasonably quiet, clean, and safe - we have had no problems whatsoever. The elevators work, and having a washer/dryer in unit is an absolute necessity for children. Since it is new construction, there is also no issue with lead paint. I think that it helps having this complex a bit further away from public ...Full review of Avalon at Newton Highlands

A Note from Preservation Properties - As the owner of Preservation Properties I am of course disturbed by these comments. We surely strive for good and lasting relationships with our clients. This site lists my real estate office as a community, however. We are an independent real estate office that also rents apartments. We work with independent landlords. Some of these comments refer to the apartment condition upon move in, ...Full review of Preservation Property Mgmt

The Worst!!! - Homes Inc. is a horrible rental & property management company. Do not rent from them. They are cheap, sneaky, and can not be trusted. For example, when I rented my apartment, the landloard, Carolyn Turchon, said the place came with off street parking. When the apartment was shown to me & my roommate, the ample sized parking lot was pointed out to us. What Homes ...Full review of Homes Incorporated

Nightmare of Epic Proportions - The motto of the Avalonbay Corporation is "Time Well Spent". In the case of The Avalon at Chestnut Hill, this phrase can only be completed with the words "wondering how I ended up living this nightmare" . A breakdown of the issues, which many others have mentioned: 1. Extremely noisy. Even if your upstairs neighbor is a nice old 90 lb lady you will hear everything she ...Full review of Avalon at Chestnut Hill

Expensive but worth it. Trust me, this place is worth the high rent. And other than the senior property manager, the staff is very efficient and pleasant. Maintenance staff has been great ever since they got rid of the bald guy with major personality disorder about a year ago. Location

Nice but noisy The buildings are pretty nice and maintained well but if you like to sleep through the night, I would look elsewhere. The walls are paper thin and you can hear virtually everything your neighbor does.

Did they sell or change the name to avoid the bad ratings? We lived in these apartments owned by Capasso. The father was a stand up guy. He died and the sons didn't care and ran it into the ground. When we left they violated our rights and sent in painters before we even took all of our things

Avoid at all costs Avoid this company at all costs. They are dishonest and will do anything to rent you a place. Within days of moving in (at considerable moving cost) we discovered that the bank had begun foreclosure proceedings on our rental. We were then told by Preservation Properties in no

They also lied to me Few things to note:
Dead cat in the basement the day we moved in.
The apartment had not been cleaned by the previous tenants.
Broken lights, doors, faucets, cabinets, floor etc., all of which we were told would be fixed before we moved in but were not. The

Unprofessional We found our move-in to be handled quite unprofessionally. Appliances in the apartment were not in working order, the gas was turned off and defective carpet had been installed. All issues were addressed...including replacement of the carpet, but it took five days to get
