I would recommend Royal Crest Estates to everyone I know. I am moving to FL in about a month but I will never regret anything about this place. I have lived here almost all of my life (26 years)and whatever negativity anyone has to say about the place shows that it is obvious that nothing much can make them happy and they are just miserable people because this place is beautiful. It is a perfect environment for the young and the elderly. This place is safe and all the apartments have been remodeled. I can't think of any other apartment complex that can even come close to being compared to this place. They have central air conditioning, the apartments each have their own washer and dryers, there is plenty of parking and garages available, and the management, ground crew and maintenance techs are outstanding professionals! I will truly miss this place.

I have to disagree.. it seems that you have no other context to make a review other than this one complex and your one apartment. At least half the residents we talk to complain more than compliment RCE. It seems at just age 26, you have a very limited viewpoint (and probably don't write the rent check, but are quick to attack replies different than yours. Hmmmmm. Yes, the grounds are beautiful and spacious, it was build 30-40 years ago. Have you checked some local newer places? (I bet not.) They may not have the grounds, but the other amenities you brag about are standard and commonplace. AND they all have better insulation, high-tech access, all new construction, appliances, etc, etc, AND same rent ranges or lower!. Yes the place is safe - BUT NOT all the apartments have been remodeled. AND the ones that are have rents often several hundred dollars a month more! You said, "I can't think of any other apartment complex that can even come close to being compared to this place." LOL Have you even honestly looked? I think not. They DO NOT all have central air conditioning, you lived in one of the 'luxury' buildings. (RCE has two general levels. One or two bedrooms = standard. Three bedrooms gets a larger floorplan, bigger windows and deck, central air and other additionals as well as higher rents.) AND NOT ALL the apartments each have their own washer and dryers, MOST BUILDINGS have a common room on the first floor you use a key card to use the RATHER EXPENSIVE and SMALLISH washer dryers. (I think this all proves this 26 year-old was rather clueless about the whole complex, and used a very small viewpoint for their comments and attacks on detractors.) Yes there is plenty of parking although some of it is a pretty good walk with grocery bundles, and the garages cost you more. Management is iffy at best, they change/rotate property managers about every 18 months on average, (->that says something!) A couple years ago AIMCO, a national apartment complex management company (and REIT) took over. They carry a high mortgage expense and the care and upkeep reflects that fact - there is little exta dollars to go around these days. They have even greatly slowed the renovations of older apartments. There is no longer a "ground crew", they hire outside firms to do the work, and the standard buildings get MUCH less attention ESPECIALLY if you are away from the main road and views from the highway. Maintenance techs are NOT outstanding, they are general 'fix-it' guys or 'handy-men' for the most part. The ones who know more are part of the (also) rotating supervisors, so you don't get them as often as you would like. Good luck kid, with those blinders on.
