Living at Royal Crest in the beginning seemed
pretty good, beautiful kitchen and nice bathrooms. The issues started when we soon learned that our above neighbors had 3 children...all of early school age but did not go to
school, they were home schooled.
Beleive me I don't have a problem with methods of schooling but I do have problem with "gym time" and "music time". Running up and down the hallways to excercise I guess. Harmonica and flute, not to mention these people never, ever closed their windows so all could enjoy the "music", the children seem most happy listening to their voices echoing out into the courtyards.
Breakfast 7:30am---daily, so don't ever expect to sleep in on a weekend or enjoy a quiet cup of coffee especially if you happen to be sitting in the kitchen. I'm not sure why the children never went out much. I work full time and on weekends that I would be of have been nice for a little peace of mind.
We spent an entire year of negotiating with the office, who by he way gave us every response as not to do anything. I think the best one we got from them was to "call the police", or even better when we were asked to call the maint. dept to come over and listen to the noise, and the prupose of that was''''' I guess we were in question.
Talk about not wanting to address the situation. No... we did not call the police.
We even had a "sit down" with our noisy neighbors who agreed that it is difficult to keep the children busy and that they would
be more diligent, but nothing changed.
We even went so far as to call the regional office for help but that was usless, they too
did not want to address the problem, so as you can see they yessed us to death until the lease came to an end and we had to move out. I also found out that the people who lived there before us also had the same trouble, we discovered this after talking to
our neighbors on our floor, even though the office denied any prior problem....so they also lie.
We also began having troubles with the parking, when we moved in we were told that there would be plenty of parking and park where you like, 6 months later with warm weather, no parking available because our building was next to the school play ground
and people with children would drive over and park there. It's no fun trying to bring in a weeks worth of groceries from the circle. I was also privilged to be witness to a couple of teenage boys fist fighting.
It would seem the outter wooded area between our building
and the school play ground is also an area
for teens to cut through, hang out and party.
So that was our experence at Royal Crust, I think it was most amusing when they sent us a renewal lease with a 149.00 increase after we had notified them we were leaving......now that what I call good communication!!

yes BEWARE the rent increases. they seem to ignore the fact that nice and luxury apartment complexes are springing up all over this area - they have a LOT of competition. check the competition out first.

I am a former tenant, believe me: DO NOT SIGN THAT LEASE! Do your homework first there is a lot of other nicer/newer and cheaper alternatives. Management is quite dishonest, even though they appear to be fo nice at first.
