I have been here for almost a year and its not all its cracked up to be yes its pretty and you feel pretty safe but there are a few things, all of our closet dorrs have fallen off there hinges, our fridge leaks and the AC doesn't really work and when it is on we have to have the TV at a noise level of 64 to be able to hear it. There is always a weird smell and lately we have been finding bugs. We are both very clean young professionals who are almost never home which doesn't alow us much use of the pool because it is only open from 11:30-7:30 when we call to the office to get these things fixed I usually feel bad about by the end of the call and cancel it because some of the people there can be rude. We were promised free cable four months ago and that has yet to come and it took 3 weeks after promise date to install the carbon monoxide alarms. The one good thing about this place is that the apartments are huge so it is great potential of lots of living space besides that not so great and we have yet to find friendly neighbors in a whole year!

Just a quick question - if you are a "clean young professional" why are you having so much trouble with the English language?

Call maintenance, I don't care how rude the office manager is!! Put it in writing, then give it to the office, put in details. Don't just say the a/c doesn't work, say it won't stay cold, or it shuts off!! I don't care how rude the office staff is, if you put it in writing, you won't even have to deal with them much, just drop it off. Make sure you state exactly what you want fixed. If you can be available, ask for a call before they enter your apartment, that way you can make arrangements to be there when maintenance is fixing things. If this doesn't work for you, my suggestion is for you to buy a house! You can then use your money, to purchase new carpet, paint, and appliances, and a pool. Don't forget to pay your taxes, and your own water and sewer, as well as trash and recycling. (You don't do any of these things now.) Don't forget to get your own butt out there and mow the lawn, put down mulch, shovel the driveway, (god forbid you actually might have to move your car when it snows), etc... (Where exactly do you think your rent goes????) Have you read your lease? There may be something in it, you can use to alleviate the problems you seem to have. If you have time to post here, then you obviously have the time, as well as Internet service, to do some research. Quit whining and do something about it!! Oh, yea, try using commas, and spell check, most young professionals have heard of this, as well as a YMCA membership to use the pool!
