Unless you're looking to live in an over-priced apartment frequented by roaches, I wouldn't recommend Windsor Gardens. Our whole apartment building has had an infestation and we can't completely rid our place of them no matter how hard we clean.

Also, have had to deal with lots of hoodlums (for lack of a better word) hosting under-age drinking parties, working on their vehicles into all hours of the night (while blasting their stereos), treating the place like a dorm, and disrespecting other residents. In addition, most of the teenagers who live here leave their sliders open and stomp up and down the stairs to get to their apartments, rather than using the front door.

Both my husband and I have had deliberate damage done to our cars in the Windsor Gardens' parking lot -- once by a disgruntled neighbor and twice by young children who are often in the lots unsupervised. I have also seen general damage done such as smashed pumpkins, broken glass, etc.

I've also had to deal with some of the bad maintenace issues that others have mentioned and think that the current "remodling" project ought to be relabeled the "mass exodus" project -- people are telling me that they're moving out as soon as their leases are up because management refuses to take anyone seriously about the complete disregard contractors have shown residents. The maintenance is shoddy, messy, and late in coming. I've had to ask several times for both my stove and bathroom sink to be fixed, and currently, neither is working correctly.

This place is a mess! I would NOT recommend Windsor Gardens to anyone for any reason.

I moved here 4 months ago and I love it here and I am so thankful for the staff on site. They have been nothing but nice to me. Since I have lived here I have stoped by the office everymonth to pay my rent and the office staff has been nothing but extremely nice. I have also called about my storm door blowing open and breaking and they came and repaired it the next day. I guess if it is true what they say, once you become a resident they are nothing but rude I will waite and see if something changes but so far nothing. I will let you know IF that happens.( I dont think this will happen). Who ever is writing all the negative comments really needs to call and discuss with the office or a therapist.

I have had plenty of problems. Let's not paint to rosey of a picture. The offices IS nice, but there are too many units for them to manage, and the local auto school subsidizes housing for them. So, it IS like a dorm --- literally. There are many underage drinking parties. Calling people crazy for complaining is silly. It's her right to say what she will. I don't think it totally sucks here, but it is not as nice as I was led to believe it was. Look at the showroom, then look at most any other given apartment. You will see why people are angry. They are being sold something they can't be provided. That is illegal. I've been here a while and it's been a hassle since day one. I've lived in worse, but at least I knew what to expect. This person is posting (and I get e-mailed when people post because I myself have posted negatively) because she is unhappy. There are a lot of us that are unhappy. If people want to move here, they will. I recommend they wait, though, because the renovations will be going on for the next five years.

The story is honest and real. Yes, you can see half-nicked kids playing in the parking lot. I witnessed the damage of three cars, totaled, in the parking lot by a resident without ID or DL at 3:00 in the afternoon. Not to mention that they enter your apartment without your knowledge. During my time there I never received a note for cutting the water but they cut it any way. The new constructions made the place less safe for children; read the sticker on the new installed windows-they are dangerous for kids. So, they do not care about tenant safety or privacy, but the oppresive lease, you signed, gives them the right to abuse you.

We moved out for many reasons - one of which were the unsupervised kids playing street hockey and other games in the parking lots. We had major dings to our cars. This costs money. For the amount of money they charge in rent everything should work and you should feel safe and your vehicles should be safe. Why is that therapy-worthy? And don't talk to me about construction nightmares. The people who need therapy are the dead-enders who stay and put up with the dump.

I was a resident at Windsor Gardens for 6 months. The office staff is not at all friendly and occationally rude. I have observed them to be very pleasing till I moved in, but once I signed the lease it was sudden turnaround. It is highly overpriced for the old apartments there. The only advantage I see is the train facility. Except for that it is a totally messy place. The new management is even more rude( no doubt since it is the old employees) and hiked the rent. I just waited for the lease to be over. Till now they have not given me the deposit I gave when I moved in. I WONT recommend Berkshires at Windsor Gardens, Norwood to anyone.

In the summer, I have experience some small ants but the moment I report it to the office there is pest control that comes in and takes care of the problem. If you have soo many problems why don't you just call the office and have them recorded. Don't just assume that it is going to get fixed by not reporting it.
