More good features than bad...

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007

I lived at 135 Quincy Ave for one- year. The apartment I rented was quite large and the closet space was adequate. The noise level was only a problem over one week-end -I complained to management and it never happened again. The parking is covered, but the down side is that sometimes other tenants steal your space. The tow company will quickly remove the vechicle however, and management is good about allowing alternate parking in the visitors spaces.

The hallways are hot and do smell funky, but they are clean and the smell comes from tenant cooking not the carpets. The carpets are kept clean and you frequently will see cleaning staff and maintenance in the building.

The management staff for the most part goes above and beyond to be accommodating. At the time, I lived at 135 Q-Ave (2006), the receptionist always demostrated rude telephone etiquette, but Ms. Gordon, the property manager was most gracious.

The apartments are older, but one can work around the minor flaws to create their own personal space and style. Overall I give this apartment community the following ratings:
4.5 - condition, maintenance, management
5.0 - location, bus stop is directly in from of the building, Quincy Center T-station is a 15" walk.
0.0 - the batroom shower in my unit was awful because it had the old-fashioned hot and cold faucets making it impossible to regualte the water temp. I hope they change the faucets to a hot/cold one faucet type.
