Not what you would expect from an Archstone complex

The Good:
1. Easy to transfer lease from one Archstone to another. Very useful if you make the mistake and need to move to another place!
2. Snow on the roads leading to Archstone and within the community is plowed quickly. If it snows through the night, they are out plowing through the night.
The Bad:
1. Very low water pressure. The water in the shower and kitchen sink is especially bad. It doesn t spray out of the faucet/shower head but rather falls out of it.
2. Paper thin walls. We can hear our neighbors watching the news from the bedroom. We know they are not trying to be obnoxious and partying so its hard to blame them for being too loud. Plus you get to enjoy the brisk winter cold since the walls and windows are not going to keep out the constant draft. The bedroom in our place is especially cold. We keep the door closed to the living room because you can feel the cold coming in from the garage, walls and windows.
3. Very loud garage. You ll be shocked how loud the rumbling is the first time you hear it. Especially when it wakes you up in the morning.
4. Not as clean as you would expect from an Archstone. We had paper debris and gunk in the dish washer. The tiles in the shower still had scum on them. The carpet has obviously not been clean thoroughly.
5. Ice at the entrance to the building. Some buildings seem fine but others, like ours, is all ice from the door to the road. The road is nice and plowed but since the plow doesn t plow right up to your door, you re left waiting for them to do it and it is usually a day later after it s iced over if they come at all.
