We have lived at Avalon for 4 years now. Overall we had a great experience living here and would recommend it.
The apartments are new, clean and spacious. Maintainence is very responsive. The office staff has been through a number of changes but is responsive to the tenants. They will pick up packages, drop them off if you are not back until the office is closed. They will water your plants if you are away for a while. Parking is usually not a problem either right in front or very close by. For the most part, the neighborhood is safe. It's tucked in away from the main street. However, there is a Walmart right next to us which brings in a lot of people. The only thing that happened, is that my wheel covers were stolen one day.
The windows are very poorly insulated and have a significant draft in the winter. The walls are of medium thickness so sometimes you can hear your neighbors. The pool although nice is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Okay for kids and splashing but not if you want to do laps. Exercise room is okay.
Avalon is not the cheapest but a nice play to live. Check it out.
