I'd say "yes"

I have lived in Avalon West for almost a year now and feel that my experience has been pleasant.
I am in a 2 bedroom apt.
with a roommate, which makes rent affordable: the price for a 1 bdrm.
is a little high if you compare to other Quincy properties.
But, you're paying for the convenience of parking, on-site laundry, long office hours, etc.
The staff here is very helpful: we only had one problem when a maintenance request took some time to fill- but the community manager adjusted our rent accordingly to be fair.
They call periodically to make sure everything is OK and they do preventative maintenance over the year which is very rare.
My only complaint would be the parking lot, which I shouldn't even complain about given the fact that I would never find street parking if I lived in Boston.
At any rate, the lot sometimes has cars in it for days at a time that don't move: one with a flat tire has been out front for over two months now! Sometimes at night it can be a struggle to find a space but never impossible.
The snow removal in the winter leaves a lot to be desired and I actually missed a day of work because my car was stuck.
The only reason I am moving is that I need a 1 bdrm.
place now and it's over $1000 a month here at Avalon, which I cannot afford.
But, for someone with a roommate, family or with that kind of money, I would definitely recommend that you see what this community has to offer you.
