A previous writer claimed his utility bills are amazing for the low cost and never turning on the heat. Come live in a lower floor where we freeze to death and pay $200-300 for heat per month in the winter - same for electric costs - sky high kilowatt usage year round. A/C needs to be on all the time in the summer. In the winter, we had to use the plastic shrink wrap on our windows to try & cut the cold air draftiness that comes thru. Same with the noise factor - live in the rear units and it's dead quiet - live in the front over the parking lot and listen to every car door slam and other noise that happens out there. Low grade windows and no insulation are usually the culprit for these issues. Office staff has high turnover factor - same with maintenance personnel. Yes, the previous man was more personable, but we have ONE guy to do everything in a 100 unit building- includes landscaping, repairs and apt. turnover issues. Cut him some slack. Pick your unit location wisely.

The windows and insulation are terrible. You can always hear a wind draft at your apartment door and the windows during the wintertime let in so much cold air! This building probably wont even be standing in 20 years...

I completely agree. I live on a lower floor and my apartment is FREEZING in the winter. Even outside of winter the utilities seem to be very high. I also live on the front part of the building and it is very loud (and soon to get louder as they will be doing construction in 09). You can hear car doors, people talking, etc.
