You can do much better than this!

I would not recommend this apartment complex to anybody. I have lived here for a couple of years and have had problems since the beginning. Complacency haskept me here (but wont for much longer). Here is my summary of the good and the bad:
Good: Close to highway; relatively new (5 years old) construction.
Bad:
There is a revolving door for managers (4-6 months each). Right now that is a good thing because the current manager is rude and condescending. Also, when giving a tour the manager is very friendly to both the prospective tenant and existing tenants that she may walk by. It is a common joke amongst tenants about how she acts normally and when they are showing an apartment.
No recycling. They have promised it for years, and have come up with every excuse in the book as to why we still do not have it. I am tired of the excuses.
Nauseating mystery food smells in the hallway. Listen, I am all for diversity, however there are some units with 6 or 7 people living in them. Those units tend to cook ethnic food and the smell reminds me of a combination of dirty socks, fish that has been sitting in the sun 2 days and rotten eggs. The smells usually really get going around 6 and somehow get into your apartment. Gag.
Safety is an issue. Let s start with the KNOWN drug dealers living here. The mangement told the ex police officer that lived downstairs to NOT reveal the potential danger to any of the neighbors. Gee, thanks. Also, there were the gypsies (yes, I said GYPSIES) who s children liked to light napkins on fire and toss them off the balcony. There have also been numerous car break ins. My poor neighbor lost all 4 wheels!!!
Noise: Well, every Friday and Saturday night you can count on the drunkies to come home making a racket. I also often have to go and sweep up broken booze bottles down stairs.
Fire alarm issues. It seems like there are a lot of fire alarm problems- ranging from the unit in the lobby that perpetually is going off, to random middle of the night alarms. I can t even explain how loud they are.
The price is too high. They may give you a deal right off the bat, but they will jack up your rent first chance they get. We are talking 22% increase. They will tell you 3-5% but GET IT IN WRITING. They will also nickel and dime you for every little thing.
The management just simply does not care about the tenants. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere, as I feel there are much better deals to be had. I am looking right now and will be leaving shortly.

What building do you live in?? I've lived in the south building for 2 and a half years and have never experienced or heard of half of the issues you have mentioned. It sounds as if you may be blowing some things out of proportion. I'm not sure what you think they nickel and dime you for?? We pay rent..that's it. There aren't any other fees to live here unless you choose to rent a garage space. And a 22% increase...never experienced that..you're saying you had a $300-$400 increase in rent..unheard of! Yes, there's no recycling and yes you can often smell (in the hallway) other people's dinner cooking but is that really a big deal? You're choosing to live in an apartment building with other people, you have to learn to deal with a few things. And I've never once heard the fire alarm go off in the middle of the night. I am moving out soon but only because we have bought a house. I will miss my apartment at cliffwalk and would recommend it to anyone.

I am also a resident of the community and have a feeling this resident is being nasty! I have been here since 2005 when the building opened and although at times there have been issues (issue that could happen in a residential neighborhood)everything that was mentioned I am sure was addressed and handled by the office staff. And yes turn over has been an issue, but from what I know some of the staff had been promoted for how well they did their job here at CliffWalk. I am very happy to live here and will continue to call CliffWalk home. I am happy because it is a home and the staff makes you feel that way. They are always willing to try and help and when I have had maintenance issues they are always resolved the same day or next day.

Methinks the above posting is from management! I too, have had several issues. I have found the management staff to be apathetic. Also, there have been some shady characters allowed to live in the building. Luckily, we have had one apartment, with the worst offenders move out, but there still has been many instances of problems. I have also been woken up in the middle of the night by drunk residents. I also have witnessed the broken booze bottles down by the front door. I too have had a large rent increase- 15% (not 22%, but still that is pretty bad). I also just found out that they will be doing construction to build another building next door, so I will be moving because I know how loud that is going to be!

Once again the management is posting on these reviews when they should obviously not be! I can agree with the huge price increase, my rent went up 20%! The management is so rude and uncaring. Many times have the fire alarms gone off in the middle of the night, at least 10-12 times in six months. The management never tells you what caused the fire alarm or what is being done to prevent it from happening again!
