Okay people I used to live here in 1015 from 2003 to 2007. It was o.k. back then. Not the best of all places. There was a drug raid on the first floor in my building. An actual crack house on the second floor. That's all been taken care of now. I had on okay apartment with okay neighbors. I never seen any roaches or rats a lot of silverfish though. Be careful as you do not get to see what apartment you will be renting. What they do is show you a prefurnised model of a similar unit that is conveniently located right across from the rent office. The first apartment I got was clean and everything in it worked. So I left in 2007 came back in 2008 (someone shoot me). Now these people let their kids run and scream down the hallway (not in the middle of the night just during the day)so if you work nights you're screwed. My apartment is disgusting. I had to clean everything with a few toothbrushes not because I'm that clean just because the place was that filthy. The toilet does not stop running I have to pull the handle up after I flush the toilet. The bathtub drain is not fixed I've lived there since August and it still has yet to be fixed today is (10-08-08). The heat does not work in the bedroom or bathroom. The kitchen counters are disgusting. I mean it's hard to believe that the people who lived there before me did not grow up with wild animals. There was no effort put into rehabilitating the apartment even though it clearly needed it. The kithen floor literally has dirt on it like literally. Faxon just cares about rent. Oh yeah all of ny neighbors cook food that stinks all the time. I was just told that the back of my building is the hot spot for picking up drugs. Per the Quincy Police Department. It's the projects people. If you like Hood and Ghetto then move in. If you don't it's not recommended. As soon as you walk in the hallways are disgusting. There are always condoms in the storage rooms I mean used open and in the middle of the floor. this happened when I lived in 1015 and now in 999. That sucks we got aids just sitting in the middle of the floor. I know why you're wondering why I had the nerve to come back. Me too. Update: well remember when I said that I never well as of 10-28-08 the roach part was out of sight. now there is one in my bathtub as I type this on my phone. so i'm sorry for whoever I contradicted cuz THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES. Okay so now random bed bug inspections thank god I did not go to work yesterday because first of all i did not get a notice and second of all EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW I NEVER EVEN HEARD OF BED BUGS BEFORE. I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE REAL. THIS DUDE CHECKING MY MATTRESS I NEVER EVEN COMPLAINED OF THIS. I'M GOING BACK TO MY MOTHERS UNTIL THIS LEASE EXPIRES ON 080108. I'M EFFING OUT OF HERE. IN THE MEANTIME I'M LOOKING FOR A LEGAL WAY TO TERMINATE LEASE YOU GOT TO BE EFFING KIDDING ME bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

I have lived at The Highlands since 2004 and agree that things have changed. However, I can't believe that your apt was as dirty as you are saying when you moved in. Mgt has a checklist of items that need to pass inspection or the former tenant gets charged for it. I admit that there is a different element that has moved into the building but I haven't seen any of these drug deals that you indicate are so prevalent and have never seen a condom, used or not. Silverfish? Never seen one. I've also never had any issues with maintenance - the few times I have had to call, they have been prompt and have fixed my problem. And as has been said time and time again, we live in an apartment building - there will be many different cooking smells. If we don't like it, we have the option to move to a single family house. I'm not sure why you are having such a bad experience although I have to think that you are embellishing this review a little since I haven't experienced or seen just about anything you are talking about.

ok people. relax a little. i know george bush is getting on ur nerves, mine as well, but u got to relax. now kids running in the hallway is somewhat true, but they are kids. they dont bother me or distroy the halls so just let them roam. (meaning have fun) be greatful the kids arent disrespectful, hateful, etc. feel where im coming from. now back to the reviews of 1015 southern artery. ive been here over 4 years and havent seen any condoms or silverfish. by the way wut the heck is silverfish?? pls let me know ASAP.... I can admit there is a mice problem. so i have been house hunting since i seen those creatures.. also there arent any drug dealers in this complex. so i truly think that is false. as for the staff, they can be a little nicer. godd bless who reads this

Well I've lived here since 2005, well most the reviews from the prior posting I is a bit over reacting, the only problem I've had is the mice which has been resolved otherwise I believe this is a crimefree and quiet place to live. The smell that comes from cooking, yes its an apartment complex and you will smell differnt cooking from different ethnic backgrounds. I agree the staff can be a bit nicer

i have pictures to back up EVERYTHING I mention in this review EVERYTHING. You adding mice to the equation only makes it worst, as I never seen or mention any mice you and the other person refer to mice so thanks I appreciate that. As far as the bugs I even have the notices which go out at least once a month telling you that they will enter your apartment for an inspection due to the increasing pest problem they are receiving complaints on. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want them in my home everyweek I keep those letters just in case anyone wants to view them.
