Location is the main advantage. Has a number of disadvantages.

I have lived at 176 Presidents Lane for several years. I moved in because of it's location - it is across the street from the Quincy Center T stop. It's main advantages are its location, the walls are relatively soundproof, and all utilities are included (w/wall-unit A/C). Also the shower head has good water pressure. The balcony is nice, but it doesn't seem like they are used often.
It has a number of disadvantages though, such as being
--very humid with poor circulation (in the wintertime, mold grows on the ceiling), musty smell in the hallways
--little natural light (depends upon the direction the apt faces).
--Some units have old, dirty carpet in the kitchen.
--The complex seems to have a problem with moths. I've had a lot of clothes ruined due to the moths. I used to think this was just a problem with my apartment, but then I noticed the moths flying in the stairwell.
--The venting system for the dryers in the basement are horrible! If the dryer doors are closed when unused, water will condense and pool inside the dryer. I've noticed water in the dryers practically every time I need to do laundry.
--There is no recycling, even though Massachusetts prohibits the disposal of paper, cardboard, bottles, and cans.
Overall, this apartment is for someone who needs an apartment near the T (and the center of town) at a relatively low price. But beware, you pay for what you get. The apartment itself is basic with some problems. I'm still here because I'm too lazy to move.
