Locks Changed on Storage Areas, Residents Not Notified
I attempted to access my rented storage area in the building, only to find that my key did not work. A call to maintenance revealed that they had indeed deliberately changed all locks on storage areas, not told anyone living in the complex, and waited to see who complained as a way to find who was using the storage areas.
This was instead of the method used at a well-managed complex, which would audit its records, find out who was renting storage areas, and give paying customers new keys.
Maintenance eventually provided a new key to the storage area.
