I have more bad points to make than good ones.
1. Management is awful...They did not stay up to date on account balances and I was continuosly going back and forth with Liberty mngt and Home Properties. Our bill was always paid and up to date but I still received letters from Home Properties threatening us with late payments. Calls to Liberty mngt regularly went unanswered and I rarely received a call back even though it is specifically requested in the message. Even when I went to the office in person I am told "We will look into that" and still no call backs. That is, if anyone was in the office during business hours anyway.
2. One night returning home late I came to realize that my key to front door no longered worked. They put in a new door with a new lock and never gave keys to the residents. The new door was installed over a month before the incident. Why didn't we notice this earlier' The new door never shut all way and always remained open - this was a major security issue for me and my family. We finally got keys though to the door that rarely locked. Ofcourse no management returned a call and I had to drive a 1/2 hour to a new place to sleep. Not even an apology for that one..just a "woops".
3. The dishwasher was outdated and does not properly clean the dishes even after we pre-cleaned them ourselves.
4. The clothes dryer took two cycles to dry clothes and yes we cleaned out the lint tray before each use.
5. The heating system was poor. We had a two bedroom and the bedrooms blasted cool air even with the heat on 70-80! The living room did get heated.
6. When I moved in I requested a few closet doors to be fixed and nothing ever got fixed. Great closet space! just can't use it all if they don't open.
7. A bad odor seemed to emit from the plumbing.
Good things..
1. Parking - usually have no problems parking close to the building but regularly have to use visitor spaces which is not very far at all.
I guess thats it. I recommend looking elsewhere and am glad I did not renew my lease. The price is not a bargain and you will expect more for your money, which you can easily find.

I agree with everything this person posted. I moved in April 2008 & I'm happy to go by the end of March this year. With what I pay for rent I expect more & you just don't get it her. From the lack of communication w/ the office, their terrible bookkeeping & maintenance is a JOKE...I'm happy to leave!!!!!

I also agree with evertyhing this person wrote. The management here is horrendous. I'm thankfully moving out in a couple of months. The only thing I don't agree with in the above review is the only positive he writes about. It's now 2009, so it may have been different back in 2007, but the parking is just as bad as everything else he wrote about. Neighbors have no respect for others as they allow countless visitors of theirs to park in resident spaces rather than visitor spaces. A number of times I've come home and couldn't find a place to park. Management sends out threatening letters to residences, but NEVER have they taken action.
Snow removal is a COMPLETE joke. A neighbor usually has to call out her son who has a bulldozer to shovel us out because management won't. This past year we received a notice at the beginning of March stating that "Winter is here!" and they will start to plow the parking lot. Winter is here? At the beginning of March? Let's forget about the countless snowstorms we got from Nov-Feb. A complete joke.
Please look elsewhere if you're searching for apartments. I'm not one to look for the "perfect place", I understand every place has it's pros and cons, but this place is just frustrating and annoying.
