"Living in a third world country would be a step up! Get my passport. I lived here during the "good old days". Back when you paid your rent and they took care of the property. They fixed maintenance issues in less than 24hrs.If not they had a damn good reason, and kept you informed of the progress until it was resolved.
Now lets catch up to the current situation, and the "new management" or lack there of.
Any where from 3 days for a toilet repair to months for "minor stuff" like holes in the bathroom floor. The pictures of the new "renovated" apartments are straight out of Better Homes and gardens. If you call and wait on hold while they ignore your maintenance request, you will hear about the "walking paths". (we call them side walks). By the way they don't shovel the "walking paths" so bring your crampons and ice axe if you plan to walk between Nov. and April.
The reality of the "not renovated" apartments more closely resembles Better Slums and Garbage.
They have spent money on Vinyl siding and gables over the door ways. If you wrap crap in vinyl, you have vinyl wrapped crap.
I am not concerned about babies or foreign languages. I am concerned about astronomical rent increases for ever degrading service and deteriorating conditions. No security. Being overrun by gang thugs.
