I'm going to list just a few issues I've had here. When I moved in 9 months ago, I thought by the looks of this place that it was going to be a nice place to live. I was terribly wrong. I think everyone I've talked to at this complex hates this place and they all have so many complaints. Don't let them wine and dine you into signing a lease here. Make sure you read all the reviews posted on this website!
1. Mold, it's everywhere and it's so gross and a health concern.
(SEE THE PICTURES ATTACHED!)
2. Noise, The walls are incredibly thin and you can hear everything. Since this apartment complex is less than 5 minutes away from Bridgewater State College, there are HUGE parties every night of the week till the wee hours of the morning. Don't expect to get much sleep. I know people have made a lot of complaints and management does NOTHING about the problem.
3. Maintenence is terrible. They all smell like a giant cigarette, I mean they smell BAD. Worst part is, they are always intruding. They came in once when my wife was in the shower ...unannounced. She walked out of the shower half naked and the guy just stood there and stared at her while she screamed. After that, I changed the locks on my apartment.
4. There are lots of thieves and break-ins here. Cars are broken into here on a weekly basis and the apartment complex provides no security what so ever.
5. They claim these are "Luxury Apartments", they are far far from it. Most of the units here are "Low Income". I found out that most of my neigbors are paying FAR less than I am because they tricked managment into thinking they were moving in by themselves or told them they make much less than they really make. This angers me. Pretty much every night I go for a walk and smell pot/mariguanna smoke coming from a few different buildings. Seems like there a lot of drugs here as I've heard from other people the same thing. Also, there's always trash blowing around everywhere. People just throw their junk mail out onto the grass and there's always fast food wrappers all over the parking lot. It is so gross and it makes me sick. I can't believe I pay $1350 a month for this crap and that's for a ONE BEDROOM!
6. Parking is a nightmare. A true nightmare. People who do not live here park directly in front of your building so that the real tennants have to park on the other side of the complex. I hate it.
7. My wifes car had been hit in the parking lot 2 times from all the drunk college kids leaving at 3AM. Every time it has been a hit and run. Again, no security guard or anything here to help with problems like this.
8. Managment is my biggest gripe here. The apartment manager is useless. He does nothing to solve any of the problems with this complex. With all the complaints about him on this website, I'm suprised he still has a job to be honest.
9. Look at the picture I took below. This crap is all over the building, on the inside and out! Tell me that's good for your health. Luckily I don't have children because if I did, I would have broken my lease after the first couple months of living here.
10. My lease is almost up and I'm glad to say that I purchased a brand new house. Take my word for it, if you move in here and sign a one year lease you will regret it a month or two later. Theres much better choices around here for a cheaper monthly rent charge. The cost to live here is about 35-40% more than other places in the area. Oh and to rent a TINY garage here, it's an extra $160 a month. What a rip off but I guess it's the ony way to protect your car from the drunk college drivers and the criminals breaking into cars all the time.
Hope I helped you in your search. Most of the other local apartments have some really good ratings, I suggest you look at those. Good luck!

Nice to see a review posted from someone who does NOT work for the complex! As a former resident of Chestnut Farms with many friends still trapped in leases there, I feel your pain. Congratulations on your purchase of a new home! We moved just across route 24 and to Bridgewater where our mortgage on our new 3-BR, 3 bath townhouse is $100 LESS than the rent on a 1-BR, 1 bath flat at CF. A total ripoff.
