I can fully agree to the comment from 11/13/2006. The complex looks on frist view very nice, no problem at all. But if you stay longer than 10 minutes with the usual property tour with the leasing agent, you starting thinking for what you paying the lease!
The quality of the whole complex is cheaper than cheap. In summer when the generator for the aircondition of corridors starts, the whole building is shaking. At the first time when it happens, I was surprised because I haven't expect earthquakes in the region. If a car is driving into the garage, even there the appropiate level is shaking. The walls must be out of papers, otherwise I can not explain that I can listen even when my neihgbor is moving the drawers in their walk-in closets. The doors and specially the entrance door of the apartments are out of very thin wood, if you would hit them hart, your're in! The dishwasher, ok all electic devices are very loud. Start them if you plan to go outside, or turn the music loud that even your neighbor can listen it, ups it's don't need to be very loud. The so called management team or leasing office team is not so bad at all. Also the response time of the maintenance team is ok, the job what they do is something different. It take some attempts till you get the requested job is done a appropiate quality. The roof is leaking like hell, I have several water damages in my unit, even at the same place, after the roofer has done its job (statement by the management), I'm not sure if there was a roofer!
If you don't need to life in this area in case of work or social responsibilities, forget about Overlook Ridge. And it looks like I'm not alone with this opion, actual the resident fluctuation is quite high in my opion, no week without at least one moving truck in front or at the back of the complex. Noise from the construction site isvery disturbing, on the back from the new building which they setup, at the front from demolishing the stonehill. So have fun..and stay away!!
