Rockland Place, more commonly known as "The Palace", is an absolutely horrible place for decent people to live and try to raise their kids. Unless your kid is a little wise-ass, trouble-making hoodrat, he won't even be able to walk outside without getting his bike stolen, his nose bloodied, and his life threatened. Trust me, take it from someone who had to live there for 13 years, this place is as close to Harlem as you're going to get. This place is a racial melting-pot, and NOT in a good way - due to me not wanting to get "a cap busted in my ass" I won't go any further on that subject. Speaking of pot, R.P. is a drug superstore. If you want it, they got it, you just need to know where to look. But you won't need to look far, seeing how people indiscreetly torch their crackpipes and blaze their joints right on their porches. You could cop anything from Oxycontins to crack to grass to heroin there. There's even been some crystal meth raids going on lately. The cops could care less about everything that goes on there. They're there constantly and everything goes on right under thier noses and they just turn a blind eye and go about their buisiness of harassing the few people who don't bother anyone. Oh, and the maitenence service is absolutely horrible too. It takes them 3 months to re-attach a damn closet door. And don't even dare complain about your leaky faucet or backed-up toilet. It'll never get fixed. And another thing, what they pass off as their "public swimming pool" is a dirty, disgusting, bodily-function infested cesspool. I could go off on this place forever, I had enough experience with the place to do so, but you get the point, SO STAY THE HELL AWAY!!! (convicted felons, hoods, gangstas, drug addicts/dealers all welcome though)
