ok.....I have to be honest b/c I hate to see ppl moving into bad apt like I did.
1.The apartments are OLD and they are not cheap which is very UNREASONABLE for the bad market like now.
2.The employees' attitude are very rude and they live in the building (so there is no way u can get away from them)
3.The elevators are OLD. if you live in the building you can see them taking terms to be serviced and ppl often get stucked in there
4.The maintenance is bad. I remember once our A/C wasn't working, the maintenance ppl came up to fix with a tool that you won't believe what it is ....A FORK!
5.This is the most IMPORTANT part of this review and if you are thinking about moving into that building, you MUST read this...
esp. if you have a car.
The parking fee isn't bad compare to the parking fee for other places in Boston. However, Back Bay Manor is the ONLY APT alone the 3 on the same street who has no GATE for outdoor parking. And they sell parkings to ppl who don't live there. So even though you live in the building, you often have to wait for months before they have a spot for you to park. Although they have gate for indoor parking, it isn't safe. My friend's (who also lived in the building)car got vandalized during the DAYTIME in the indoor parking. (Think of this, if the thief doesn't live in the building, how does he has the access to the indoor parking') And there is only one camera in the whole indoor parking so if you park you car far away from the door (where the camera is), you won't even know who did what to your car even by watching the tape! Also, we have been told by police that they often find stolen cars in Back Bay Manor's indoor parking. Usually by the time they find the car, the parts of the car are all gone just like my friend's. The management wasn't able to help us because they didn't not record the tape on the date my friend's car got vandalized. they didn't even take any action on improving their safty after all!
I strongly suggest ppl not to move into the place....caz it suckz for the price you are paying!!!
