I lived in Back Bay Manor from Sept 2005 until December 2006. I moved out because I could no longer afford it. True--the management does raise rent considerably from year to year. My 2br rent rose from $1950/mo to $2150/mo. $200 is a considerable increase and was given BS excuses from the management. I talked them down to $2065/mo for a short term 4 month lease. All of my appliances in my apt were decently new and I never had a problem with them. Any problems I ever had, the maintenance staff fixed right away.

I NEVER saw a bug or rodent in my entire time living here. NEVER.

The elevators are a little slow because they service so many floors. I parked on the street and never had my car broken into or vandalized. I never had anything stolen from my apt or felt unsafe in the area and I am a female. Apartment was clean and painted when I moved in.

Overall, the only reviews I found to be accurate were the ones stating that rent is too high, there is a lot of noise from nearby hospitals, and that the elevators are slow. Additionally, the management is sloppy and the property manager is just gross (eats while you're talking to him, wears dirty clothes).
