They have this weird rule that you can not get any other cable tv but only one company which has wired the building. I wanted to get satellite tv and hence asked for their permission to install the dish in my private patio. They refused. Legally, they can not refuse so long as I have a private balcony which I had! Got a FCC document from dish tv people saying so, showed it to hitler-but no. She directed me to her boss at Maloney properties.

I refused to go and see this bloke somewhere else during work hours so that I can get to watch TV! Told them that will hire a lawyer but they didn't respond.

Went and actually hired a crappy attorney for $150. All he had to do was send a few letters and finally sue them for curtailing my rights. To cut the story short, they finally acknowledged that I had the right to install dish tv, paid my attorney fees and a out of court settlement amount.

Can't disclose it, but even my crappy attorney nailed their ass! Used the money towards down payment for my new home!!
