New Management ( TGM Associates) Sucks!

I moved in here when it was still an Archstone building and within a month, without notice, the building was sold to TGM Associates. The reason we were willing to pay so much in rent was because of the Archstone name. TGM came in and immediately quality of living decreased. They started putting up signs saying "Don't do this or that or you'll be fined $50." I don't want to be threatened in my own home, especially when the things they were prohibiting had never been a problem here. They went around taking down Archstone signs and just scraping the Archstone logo of things (including the actual building) and never replaced it. Now there's just glue stuck to the building where it used to say Archstone - really ugly. It is clear that TGM Associates does not care about residents. I never would have moved here if I knew TGM was buying the building.
The windows and walls are really thin here. My boyfriend was waiting for the elevator and then came back home to tell me that he could here me putting away dishes. You can here normal conversations from the hallway. We can always feel a draft from the windows.
The pet rent is really high. We pay an extra $90/ month because of our two cats.
Exercise machines in the gym are frequently broken.
Another hassle is that with Archstone we could pay our rent online. That was a nice perk. They also had an online community to sell things and communicate vinnin square events. Now there is nothing.

Hey guess what! I live in new york at another TGM take over and they have destroyed this place as well! TGM management? What a joke. The only thing they have managed to do is chase the tenants out. In a panic they stuck paper referral incentive notes on the hall doors offering $350 if you bring in a tenant. It didn't work. They made metal signs and put them on the grass. It didn't work. Finally I was so disgusted I broke my lease to get the hell out of there. TGM couldn't manage a hot dog stand. They think they are making great investments by buying up these great properties, but they will go bankrupt eventually because they can't maintain the properties. The tenants that are caught in this will be miserable. If you still live in a TGM property get out as fast as you can.
