What a shame... no nice apartments communities left anymore

The thing I loved about Archstone was that they were clearly in a class all by themselves when it came to managing apartments. I am glad I got the chance to live here when it was Archstone because that is the one saving grace of my time spent here. TGM Management is awful. The first few months were not bad as I think they were trying really hard to keep all of us high-rent payers in. Now that they think we've forgotten our level of standards, they've become lax in their efforts and are showing their true colors as a mediocre, B-class apartment management company. We finally got a sign for the building after a year. Unacceptable. There are many other apartment communities that I could move to that would have equal or better service, and for much cheaper rent. The reason I paid high rent when I moved in was because of the luxuries that Archstone provided. Now you can't even get someone to answer the phone, and if you are that lucky, they are rude to you and give you the run around for any simple request. They do not provide a 1-800 number like Archstone did, so you're stuck with the bad service you get in the office. Sadly, I believe this is the way of the future for apartment living.
