I've been here for a year and I like all of my dog-loving neighbors. The management here has always been helpful and has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I happily renewed my lease.

Either this review was written by management, or the person is on some serious medication. The problem with management is that they are extremely lazy. Yes, they will fix something if it is broken (because they are legally obligated to), but if neighbors are noisy after 11pm on weeknights, smoking cigarettes in the hall (housing code violation), or doing anything else CLEARLY IN VIOLATION AGAINST THEIR LEASE, management won't do anything to fix the problem. Maybe through random chance, you lucked out and have good neighbors, but eventually you WILL have bad neighbors and you will have horrible living conditions without being to do anything about it. As for the neighbors, I'm curious how you can possibly take a look at the crime report for the community (which every resident has a right to) and think that over 3 pages of crime committed on this property can be considered "nice neighbors". There have been assaults, tons of break ins, drug use, drug dealing, vandalism, homeless people living on the property to name a few. You probably just aren't aware of what's going on, but take a look in the parking lot after 9pm and you'll see no less than 3 drug deals each night. I knew a couple officers on the Salem police force, and they told me they don't even bother patrolling this community and the Highlands next door anymore because the crime has gotten so bad. They only go over there if there is a call AFTER a crime has been committed. Also don't forget the resident in building 9 who will stare at you every step you take, and if you so much as look back at him the wrong way, he will literally punch you in your face. He has 7 assault charges filed against him on this property alone, but because he is mentally challenged "Hey I was shot in the head 25 years ago," he never gets convicted and therefore has a clean criminal record. I guess it all depends on where you're coming from though. For some people this ghetto dump is a step up. Enjoy the good life.

seriously, last night i cane home from work at 7:00 pm and there were 6 young men grouped together by the dumpster, They all went into the dumpster area together. So what exactly are they up to?!... I'm afraid to take my garbage there after dark.
