Let's start with my GPS getting stolen by the people who live in subsidized housing right next door. The sirens from passing ambulances are wonderful to hear at all hours of the night, as well as the puerto rican music they play in the parking lot late at night. NO Security dude to harass the inconsiderate -------s who make this place hell to live in. The common areas inside the buildings often smell like hot garbage, and I once found fresh dog turds in the stairwell. The drafty windows have never been fixed, and they dont plow the drive until noon, after the snowstorms. So if you want to get to work on time you are screwed. The Fire alarms go off in our building at least weekly due to a faulty alarm system, and they still have not fixed it. It went off once at 4 am this morning and just a while ago at 1020pm. ------the manager is a real piece of work. She doesn't care about anything except making more money for the dolben company.

The windows have been drafty since they built the place in 2002. I've had them caulked several times and it doesn't work. The screens don't fit properly either, which means all sorts of insects get in all summer long and end up all over the walls because they're attracted to my light. I have to wad up tissues and stuff cloth along the bottom edges to prevent them getting in. (The only other alternative is to run up my air conditioning bill).

i feel your pain on some points but come on why would you leave a gps in your car anyway no matter where you live. as for the music just call the police. the ambulances are going to happen you live 2 miles away from the only hospital in this area and highland ave is a main route for them.

I think the point is that this is your home, and you shouldn't have to fear having your vehicle broken into every night. The police will NOT respond to a noise complaint. I called on one of my neighbors plenty of times and the police never showed up, they say have more important things to do than ask people to turn down their stereos. You're right about the ambulance sounds being unavoidable, however I was on top of the hill, and there really should be better sound insulation in the building. I heard loud cars driving by at all hours of the night. They could have installed the windows better and done some landscaping to dampen the street sounds more.
