Very Nice!

I came upon these comments by accident and am a little shocked to see such negativity. So, I feel compelled to add my own review since my husband and I have been living at Jefferson at Salem Station for well over a year now and we've been very happy.

Our apartment has plenty of room, lots of storage space and everything is so new and modern that it's very easy to keep clean. It's very well kept. They just re-painted our hallways and vacuum the halls regularly. In fact, it's so nice that we sometimes joke that we live in a hotel!

The gym is great - my husband loves the media center to watch sporting events on the big screen. The pool is wonderful to have but gets VERY crowded in the summer (and tenants aren't always considerate of each other i.e. loud obnoxious people in the pool!) so we sometimes avoid it. But we do use the barbecue grills a lot.

We're on a top floor with a fireplace. The apartment is well-insulated and we hardly ever have to turn on the heat. The way we're situated, we're not directly in the line of the train so we really don't hear the train at all unless our windows are open. Also, having a washer and dryer right in our apartment is a big plus. Makes life so much easier. And they plow quickly, which is a great benefit because we get a lot of snow (especially last year.)

The management is overall very good except for maybe one cranky staffer. We've only ever had small issues in our apartment, but they have always responded right away. They seem to care very much about keeping the apartments maintained in good condition and we're happy about that.

It's a little pricey considering it's not right in Boston but, heck, we probably wouldn't be getting so many amenities for the price in Boston anyway (Convenient parking alone is a HUGE benefit!) And, since we transplanted from NYC, we're getting a lot more for our money than we used to, so I guess we feel it's worth it.

Bottom line: We don't plan to live here forever but it's pretty good for now!
