Getting worse all the time

I've lived at Jefferson since 2003 and will move soon due to their raising rents and adding pet fees back in. They are insane to raise rents right now - there are other beautiful brand new buildings going up in Salem that will have lower rents and less noise problems. Beware of reviews from new residents. They get new carpets and paint when they lease and are told whatever to make them happy. After they sign, they will get little response from the office. The carpet is the lowest commercial grade and falls apart quickly. Dito on plumbing. The water heater in the unit above me broke and leaked into my living room 2 years after the place opened. Shows you the quality of the water heaters. Everything looks very nice when you come to visit, but beware of a quick paint job covering up what lies beneath... If they try to charge me for anything from my security deposit, they will be getting another fight, although I doubt they care since I didn't sign another year. All these people care about is how much money they can get out of the residents.

I strongly agree... I too live here and am not happy either nor will I be renewing my lease come spring. The grills are disgusting and never work, they cater to certain tenants while others have to wait days before anything gets done about serious problems. I also think it was rude and inconsiderate for them not to have even sent out a "sorry for the inconvience" letter about the on again off again construction that is not only interfered with daily living but was a hazard for those who commute via train.
