I've lived here since 1998. We lived on the third floor for 4 years then when we were offered a renovated apartment in the basement we took them up on it because it would mean a lower rent than the third floor apt but with newer appliances. The renovation was NOT first rate. The workers did half a--ed work. If it were my money that was being spent I would demand it back. But, now that we are on the first floor then noise is terrible. We hear people going up and down the stairs, doors closing, kids running in their apartments, babies crying, people yelling at each other. We complained about our upstairs neighbors and after 5 months of complaints we finally converted to a month to month lease (for an extra $100/month for rent) so that we can leave when we find a place to live. The parking has become terrible because most people have more than one car; there aren't enough spots. Good luck if you get home after 6 p.m. You'll be lucky to find a spot close by to your apt building. I have not had many problems getting the maintenance here if I need them, except once, now that we have new management, but the office staff aren't very supportive if you have a problem.
