Shrewsbury Commons, a much better place.

Shrewsbury Commons is another apartment in this area. A better value place. The other day I was driving by that property. Out of curiousity, I entered the community. It is far better setting than Ashford Crossing. Ashford Crossing doesn't have enough free space for walking. There is no enough room to stretch the legs around (Inside and outside apartment). You have to get out of the community if you want to walk, run or jog. Ashford Crossing has a very dull setting with no greeneries.

In Shrewsbury Commons, there is plenty of walking area inside the Community. If you are kind of the person who likes the nature, trees, this is the place to stay. The lawn and garden area is well maintained. In short period of time, I met a couple of residents who lived in Ashford Crossing in the past. They seemed to be very happy in Shrewsbury Commons. They left Ashford Crossing soon after the new management bought the property. What's more' What Shrewsbury Commons offers is worth for your hard earned rent money.

I am plannnig to move to Shrewsbury Commons once my lease expires. Only problem is, Shrewsbury Commons has a long list of people waiting to be the residents, unlike Ashford Crossings. If you intend to move to Shrewsbury Commons, you have to plan ahead in time. When I moved into Ashford Crossing, they had plenty of vacant units. They offered 2 months free rent, and $1,000 referral bonus. That shows how desperate Ashford Crossing management is/was, in filling vacant units. If the place is worth for the rent, they don't have to over advertise. Shrewsbury Commons doesn't have this problem. An employee of Ashford Crossing once privately admitted to me that they lose their good residents and new tenants to Shrewsbury Commons.

Per a prominent website, Ashford Crossing is just 65%-70% worth for the rent we pay. This is as per the calculaton that was done on a well known website. (I didn't do the math. I didn't make this number). On the same website, the industry rent figure for Shrewsbury Commons is more or less the same as what is currently being charged.

If Ashford Crossing down fixes the rent, the "true" rating of the apartment will go up. You can clearly see lack of professionalism and expertise in the the current leadership. In my opinion, this apartment needs a new manager who really knows what he/she does.
