I've lived at 88 Beacon for over a year now. It was my first experience with an apartment building in the city. I'd lived in 2-3 family homes previously. Overall I think the experience has been a good one.

As with any building in the Boston area there are minor maintenance things that get overlooked such as old AC units or screen doors that need to have their tracks replaced, etc.

The only real complaint that I've had since moving in is the occasional issues with water. We seem to go through phases where the hot water is under repair. However, out of the entire year I've had to take relatively few cold showers in the morning.

If I was paying more I would expect better services, but for the price I'm getting exactly what I need.
