Interesting to note that my review was taken off. I was the first person ever to post a review of this particular place. I rated it very poorly and suspected the owners would try to remove it.

I agree with the 3 reviewers. It was a terrible experience and they will screw you out of every penny. They are incredibly unethical as evidenced by their refusal to give back your deposit for the keys and garage door opener even though they are required by law. They even went as far as collecting a months rent from me and then when I moved out refused to give me my last months rental deposit back. Meanwhile they rented the apartment right away to someone else and basically collected rent from two different parties for the same apartment and the same month.

I went so far as to contact an attorney and after explaining what happened to me he stated that I had a case however, because the amount of money owed to me was around $4,000 the cost of going to court and paying attorney fees would exceed that. The attorney suspected that the owners had a friend or relative who is an attorney so they could use their friend/relative to drag this out and I would end up losing a lot more money and the owners wouldn't have to pay a dime for attorney fees. So I decided to post on this website to alert others.

Readers, take note that from 2003 to 2009 there are four reviewers and everyone of them have had bad experiences and not one reviewer has said nice things about Highland Commons owners.

I have had the exact same experience as the other three reviewers. Stay away from this place.
