I have lived at Riverboat Village since 2004 and am moving out this summer only because of a relocation. These apartments are tucked away and are far away from busy city life, which is nice for someone who works in the city all day. It is a wonderful drive home each night. Whenever I have had a problem, the office staff and maintenance people have gone above and beyond to fix it ASAP. Parking is great, and they are really good about snow removal too. The pool is nice, but does get crowded rather quickly. The office staff is wonderful and very attentive and they work hard to plan small events for the apartment community. Extra storage units are very spacious and cost next to nothing if you need extra space for storage.

The only downfalls are the moisture in the bathroom that results in a mildew removal every 6 months, the wasps in the summer time, and the residents. Don't get me wrong, there are some normal people here, however there are a whole lot of non-working, rather creepy people living here. Not a week goes by that I don't pass by a resident in their "housecoat" and slippers, just walking through the hall like its an old folks home. Another reviewer had mentioned the kids here. They really are quite rude and no one ever seems to be watching them. The final, and most obnoxious of the downfalls is the fact that people are allowed to smoke here. I have smokers on both sides of me and below me and my apartment stinks ALL THE TIME from it. I can't buy enough air freshners to mask the smell. And the smokers smoke outside of every door, there isn't a designated area, which results in walking through a massive stench of smoke whenever you go in and our of your building, and in the summer time that smoke smell comes right in your apartment. All in all, the staff does their part to make it a great rental experience, and the kinks that do exist are beyond their control. I would definitely happily recommend Riverboat Village to anyone who asks.
