Don't Bother

Like many on this board I was fooled by the nice model apartment and decent sales skills of the office staff. I was eager to live in a "nice" apartment complex and not pay $1400, so much so that I subjected myself to a 35 mile commute each way to work.
Basically it was a stupid decision. Windows are cracked and leak every time it rains of ice melts. I hate moving and usually don't spend much time at home so I've stayed here for almost 3 years now and still things don't get repaired even though I remind the office staff of them every few months or so. The walkways are very icey in the wintertime and I have fallen multiple times. When I informed the office staff of this they said I could come with a container up to the clubhouse and they would give me some salt to put down to ensure I had a safe pathway to walk on. I was dumbfounded.
The complex is located near a dump so often there is a terrible smell when the wind blows in just the right direction. There are many bees and wasps living in the buildings so it is difficult to enjoy the balcony and being outside. The office staff is very rude and not accommodating at all. The roof leaks (even though they just replaced it) so I am constantly calling the office to tell them about it and having the maintenance crew in my apartment to patch up where pieces of wet soggy plaster have fallen off the ceiling onto my bed.
The best thing about the complex' the pool is pretty nice in the summertime. But the staff and buildings are so terrible that it's not worth it. I too am now breaking my lease and moving out. What a great time that is.
