I have lived here for a few years. It get's worse every year. I would have moved this year but had a surgery scheduled. The board of health investigated last year due to many issues, including overflowing dumpsters, leaks, and a rodent problem which wasn't resolved for about 8 months until the BOH came in and demanded all apts be treated weekly until resolved! My bathroom is circa 1950 with an old fashioned sink and no cabinet, with mismatched toilet and sink, none of my appliances match, my ceiling has leaked the entire time (they come paint and plaster every now and then but the leak returns). Heating/a/c has constant problems. Drains clogged constantly and with the lease renewal, they put in the lease that tenants are responsible for paying for their own drain problems! Everyone has large dogs (I do not) and most don't clean up after their dogs, which are always barking. It's very noisy - young tenants hanging out on their balconies partying until all hours, you can hear everything through the walls, tenants balconies look like the projects with trash, etc. Many tenants just don't seem to care about anything and their is noone on site to tell them otherwise. They have one maintenance person for then entire property and this one person is responsible for everything so repairs are shoddy. They don't bring in professions for carpentry, plumbing, etc. It used to be a nice place with professional tentants but now it seems most of them are either young and partying, or on assistance and don't work or care about how the property looks. There is no on-site management and there have been at least half a dozen maintenance people (all with access to these apts) since I've been here. The lights are out often in the halls, parking lots, and entry ways (the entire hallway has gone unlit for days). The owners live in Florida and the maintenance company in Cambridge (Investments Limited) could care less about any problems(unless you don't get your rent in on time). There is huge turnover there too. Snow plowing was so bad my car was buried for 3 days before I hired my own plow! They hired a new company last year, so hopefully it will improve. There is no intercom/buzzer system and if someone rings your bell, you have to come down to let in your guests (that is when the lock on the door is working). There is assigned parking but maintenance doesn't know what's going on and whenever there is turnover, you have someone parking in your spot. I can't wait to move from this dump. The town of Stoneham is wonderful, and that is about the only good thing I can say about this place.
